Drive - In Movie

After Pocahontas stayed over I awoke feeling disgusting but in need of a good adventure so for Halloween I went to a drive in movie in Glasgow and I thought I would share it with you.

Ed Sheeran Concert

Hey,
So for months now I have been listening to Ed Sheeran's new album "X" and have been loving it!

So of course I jumped at the chance to go to the concert when I found out that I wasn't too late to get a ticket for the Halloween concert. I asked Pocahontas if she wanted to go to the concert and of course she also jumped at the opportunity.

So fast forward 3 months of listening to his new album "X" and we were really excited about seeing him live but of course I had got us tickets for Halloween and other people I knew had tickets for the night before so I was unbelievably jealous as they had less time to wait!

So as I woke up on Halloween my Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Snapchat were filled with pictures and videos of the concert! I was sooo excited and my whole day was hearing about how amazing it was (and doing an essay, close reading and having a last minute homework crisis!).

So after school Pocahontas and I stayed late but when we EVENTUALLY left we grabbed her bags for the night and we drove to my house.

I started helping her unpacking her stuff then we started cooking dinner - pesto pasta and garlic bread. It was amazing but of course my breath was not the nicest so I had to have a few mints!

Then we started getting ready and I wore; a tank top, choker, skinny jeans, boots and a checked shirt.

So Pocahontas and I did the cliche makeup sharing best friend thing and by the time we looked FLAWLESS we jumped into the car and drove of into the sunset.

JKS we had to drive into the lovely Glasgow on Halloween, a Friday night. SCARY!

As we drove down the motorway with none other than Ed Sheeran blasting out of my phone I had to just absorb the atmosphere and the beauty that is - Glasgow at night. Every car that passed had different reasons to be out that night and every passenger had a story. Always remember that who ever you are YOU have touched someone right in the heart and made them feel special, even if you don't think so!

So as we got nearer the venue it became clear how many fans he has and it is weird to think that I was only one in a sea of people that night.

Before going into the venue I HAD to buy a X tour top! I love it!

The staff at the Hydro are super helpful at telling you where to go but I have to admit that I still managed to get lost because I have no sense of direction and I went up and down the stairs what seemed like 5 times before realising that I was right at the top and dead centre! AMAZING!

We arrived when the opening act had only 2 songs to go and there were hardly anyone but as soon as Ed walked on stage the place just became packed and the whole place was so lively. The music started and I got lost in every song as I screamed along with him.

Right now I'm even swaying as I play back some of the songs! It was brilliant.

Even with slow and sad songs he had the audience pouring out their hearts as they sang along!

I managed to lose track of time and didn't even realise that he was on his last song.

As he walked off the crowd demanded an encore and began to cheer until they were blue in the face.

He had to get changed (he was dressed for Halloween) but he casually strolled back on stage and we got what we asked for. The final song was beautiful - SING.

The crowd was told that they had to never stop singing this and I don't think I ever will, it is such a fun song!

The crowd became one and no one wanted it to ever stop as every stood. dancing and singing, pretending that time had stopped.

Of course he walked off but we didn't stop singing. As soon as everyone became quiet and we were leaving some would sing "SING" at the top of their voice and the cluster of people would start singing.

It was something I'll never forget, the crowd now feels like my extended family as we have a bond that is Ed Sheeran.

As we were in the car I began to realise what a brilliant night I had had but of course as it was Halloween so it wasn't over. Pocahontas and I ended the night drinking tea and watching Halloween films until the sun came up, only kidding I fell asleep at 3 in the morning because I'm a loser.

Quick and Easy Halloween Ideas - 2014

Hi,
So it is Halloween and  everyone is getting ready for parties. Have you forgotten to buy something? Have you been invited last minute? Have you not got time to get something extravagant? Have you not got enough money to get something extravagant?

These costumes are all made of stuff that you can find around the house and there is no craft work to be done. I bought nothing to make these and I think that the best Halloween costumes come from things that are found around the house!

I think that the pictures should do the talking so here are my ideas:

1. Cowgirl

                                                                     2. Mickey Mouse
3. Football Fan

4. 50s Girl - Grease!

5. Cat

6. Bed Head or Baby

Shopping Trip - Edinburgh

I love Autumn and I think that'll become clear over the next few days, but one of the places I think that makes Autumn even more special is Edinburgh.

After late night texting last night, my friend and I decided to get the train the next morning (today) and go into Edinburgh. The main intention was to shop but I think we both knew that we weren't going to spend a lot but were going to do a lot of walking about.

So after arriving early at the train station and bumping into my English teacher, I then had to wait for Pocahontas (she wants to remain anonymous!). Panic struck and I wasn't sure if she maybe thought that we were meant to go the day after, turns out she was just late! We ran and caught the train just in time. I was told that it was meant to be cold so I wrapped up warm but by the time we got  to Edinburgh the bitter chill in the air had disappeared and I was left boiling in my multiple layers.
I wore a H&M dress (can't find the link!), a pair of leggings as tights (to keep me warm), a woolly jumper from F&F at Tesco, a handbag from New Look, a tube scarf from H&M, black converse and a silver jacket. As some of my clothes are really old they aren't sold anymore!

We first started by walking about aimlessly and then decided that we should get an early lunch (Pocahontas had become too distracted by her TV to eat breakfast and I had only had a small breakfast). After debating while walking down multiple streets we decided to go to TGIFridays as Pocahontas had never been and I didn't believe it was too expensive. We arrived at 12 o'clock and it was reasonably quiet and got seated quickly. We quickly realised that it wasn't as cheap as I remebered it being and we began panicking (we are both trying to save up). In the end I ordered a Chicken Caesar Salad (it was only £10.99) and my friend ordered a Quesadilla  (also £10.99).
I loved the salad but Pocahontas wasn't too keen on her meal. The portions are huge, so she had some of mine, and the atmosphere is amazing. Would be amazing with a large group of friends!

We then began wandering and ended up in H&M, boots, superdrug etc. The shops weren't too busy as everyone was having lunch and there was a lot of summer sales (I feel another post coming on). We then began walking down Rose Street which is probably one of my favourite and there were many locals and tourists alike, including a group of teenagers from Colombia on an exchange programme. The atmosphere is amazing and I always feel like I'm in a different country. On our travels we found a lovely bakery, called Bibi's Bakery, where we both got a cupcake in a box!

My friend and I then went to Starbucks as she was wanting a white chocolate hot chocolate. It was super busy and they took our orders as soon as we walked in the door and then we would pay for them when we got to the till. They didn't have what my friend wanted, so she got a Vanilla Hot Chocolate and I ordered a Hazelnut Hot Chocolate. They were both "to go" and we headed to Princes Street Gardens. When we got there we sat on a bench and relaxed. Just people watching as tourists took photos, kids ran on the grass, couples held hands, and dogs sniffed the "wildlife". I had jokingly said that my name was Paula in Starbucks, which caused my friend to explode with laughter. She had never been to Starbucks before so this was a big moment but she loved it! We sat there drinking our Starbucks while taking ugly pictures of each other and looking at what we had bought (not that much). We then continued shopping and went to New Look and a phone case shop, the aimless walking continued and we then decided that it was time to go home and looked for train times, a 20 minute wait! So we went to WH Smith and looked about and then Boots, where my friend bought us popcorn. Can we please note how most of our money was spent on food!

We then caught the train and stuffed our faces with the popcorn. When we got back we said our goodbyes and that is my friend on holiday for a week, enjoy your travels Pocahontas!

Another Sorry

Why do I feel like I am failing at this?
Probably because after a month into school I'm already drowning in tests, essays and homework.
I have 3 posts almost ready but they need editing and should be up in no time!
I am also looking for Halloween DIY inspiration. If you have anything that you want me to do a tutorial on then leave a comment saying what.
Any Autumn posts then just ask...

My Back To School Series: What's in My School Bag

Hey,
My bag featured in my first previous post but this is MY BAG!

This is like my mini home from home from 8am-4pm, Monday - Friday. So of course it is organised...

The mouth of my foxy bag
The pencil case poking out!
My pencil case and everything in it
My Casio Calculator
First is my mouth pouch with my pencil case and calculator. This is great as I often need these things quickly so they can be grabbed easily.

Next is the inside, which is split into different sections. I have the front area and and the folder area.
In the front I keep my phone and my purse.

My phone with the bright green cassette case
My Accessorize purse
In the front I keep my phone and my purse.

I also carry a spare bag with me as a girl I know had her school bag break on the way to school - on the first day of school! (I lost the picture!).

I also bring water as I need to keep hydrated!

I carry my lunch in this box (which I mentioned in my last post).

As I live in Scotland I HAVE to bring an umbrella.

The main thing I wanted to talk about was my emergency kit! This is so important and it does vary from summer to winter but this is it right now.

On you go and have a little snoop...

I always use my BabyLips as I don't like wearing makeup to school and this brightens my face up but it also moisturises my lips.

Next I have hand sanitiser - do I even have to explain this - school is... eww!

So I also have tissues because illness spreads quickly at school.

Next I carry plaster because I always seem to have to give these out.

So one of the weirder things I carry is a cereal bar in case someone faints on me (you know who you are) or if I get a bit nibbley and I have no food other than this. (Sorry about the bad photo).

So I also carry Paracetamol with me because, as I said earlier, illness spreads like wildfire in school.

One of my newest "members" of my emergency kit is to cover those stress break outs we get at school.

And of course I have to have my mini hairbrush and mirror set which is a lifesaver! I also have a mini bag of hair stuff and this means all the hair grips and hair bobbles are together.

Next up is my folder area and this is more boring. This is an area with 2 folders, 1 for jotters and 1 for my diary, notebook and letters from the school.

In the last pocket I have my earphones and mints.

So that is my bag for 2014, hope you enjoy having a little nosey.

Love,
Lauren.
